New Blog

              Hello!
I started a new blog because I don't have any more post ideas for this blog.
My new blog, A Book in the Hand, is a blog about books ( in case you couldn't tell:).
I hope you will stop by and leave a comment.

 In Christ's love,

Double Take Book Review

Author: Melody Carlson

Genre: Amish/Teen Fiction

Plot: Madison Van Buren is sick of her elite society centered life. After meeting Anna Fischer, who could be Madison's sister they decided to trade lives for a week. Anna goes to Madison's pent house in Manhattan, while Madison goes to Anna's Aunt house to help take care of Anna's little cousins. Both Madison and Anna will learn if they like their new life or old best.

My rating: 8 out of 10

Would I recommend this? I guess. It's a little cliché, but it's a fun read.

Genre :Biblical historical fiction

Plot: When Leah's family lose all their money she is sent to work at Pontuis Pilote's household. After working working for Pilote for several years Pilote decides to put Leah in strategic marriage to Alban, a centurion in the Roman army.
Leah doesn't want this marriage since her sisters were married to abusive strangers.
Could a dead prophet who people say is now again alive change Leah's outlook on everything-including marriage?

My rating: 6 out of 10.

Would I recommend this? Yes, especially to those who want to learn how people lived during Jesus' time.

Main Street (2004) Movie Review

Rated: PG

My rating: 7 out of 10

Plot: When Gus Leroy comes to the town of Duhran, South Carolina people mistrust him. Gus promises that is company can be jobs and wealth to the town, but can they really trust him?

Objectionable content: One character wears so low cut shirts. A man goes out on dates with women that work for him that don't know he's married. When he's 'finished' with them he fires the women( but nothing is shown about that).

Would I recommend this? Yes. It reminds me of a hallmark movie, but it isn't sappy. It's a movie that's relaxing to watch.

5.If you have one, feel free to share your testiomony of have you came to know Christ.

I grew up and heard about Jesus all of my life. I was very young when I prayed the sinners prayer. Because I was so young when I was a tween I began to have some doubts about my salvation. So one night after a rival at my church I made sure that I was truly saved. Every since then God has shown me sooo much. I can't imagine my life without Him.

I tag whoever would like to do this tag.

Thanks again Daisy for awarding me!
